I have to say that I think Sadie's 1st Valentine's Day was a good one! We didn't do anything fancy or romantic, we basically just hung out at home all day, but it was still a great day! We started out the day with a LOVEly breakfast! I made bacon and heart-shaped pancakes for my little Valentine. They were definitely a hit!
After breakfast I showed Maddi the heart cake that I had made for her the night before. It was a total surprise and she could not wait to dig in!
A little later Sadie got her Valentine's Day surprise, a new walker! At first she loved sitting in it, but after a little while she was ready to get out and roll around on the floor for a while!
The rest of the day was spent flying Maddi's new dragon kite and cleaning out the basement, I know that doesn't sound like a good way to spend Valentine's day, but it was definitely something that needed to be done!
We also got a goodie bag from our neighbor, a Valentine's card from Aunt Karon, a wonderful Valentine's package from Nana & Grandaddy, and candy and flowers from Matt.
I love Sadie's face in this picture! You can tell she's teething by the way she is sucking in her lips!
